Falcons V. Patriots: Super Bowl Sunday

By: Simone Williams

As January comes to a close, an exciting football season is also ending. Superbowl 51 is premiering on Sunday, February 5th. It will be the Atlanta Falcons against the New England Patriots. The halftime show will no doubt be showstopping, with a performance from Lady Gaga. This Super Bowl promises to be a good one, with the Falcons coming in as the surprising team to beat in the playoffs.

Although they have a hard battle to win, seeing as the Patriots are the favorites for this year. This will definitely be a good game, although my money is on the Patriots. This may have something to do with my bias against the Falcons for beating the Packers in the playoffs, but we can never really be too sure. Regardless of bias, this game promises to be a good one with the Falcons coming in off of a 4 game winning streak. Likewise, the Patriots are coming off of a 7 game winning streak.

This will definitely be a game to watch. Both quarterbacks are something to be reckoned with, as both Tom Brady and Matt Ryan have killer arms, with a killer offense to match. Not to mention their almost impenetrable defense. These teams are about as equal as it gets this season, and the outcome can’t be predicted since both of these teams are hot right now. This year’s Super Bowl is guaranteed to keep fans from both sides on the edge of their seats, as this will no doubt be a hard fought win for whichever team comes out on top. It’s really anybody’s game, and the outcome will no doubt be a good one. As the big day gets closer, make sure you have your plans secured for Super Bowl Sunday, you won’t want to miss it. If nothing else, make sure to tune into Fox to see the halftime show.
